​I’m a Creative Director based in Iowa with a background in Computer Art & New Media from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. With over 18 years of experience in the design industry, I focus on brand, environment, and digital experience. My work spans campaigns, product, UI, and interactive design.

I’ve partnered with teams across hospitality, entertainment, retail, and health services, and I thrive on building creative solutions that can scale and evolve. I value clarity, strong visual hierarchy, and design that is intentional, simple, and impactful.​

 

Marketing, games, and UI are a core part of my experience, including venue gaming experiences and branded collaborations with Marvel, SEGA, and Rovio. As a leader, I believe in leading from the front and that the strongest teams are built on trust, support, and shared ownership of the work.

Outside of work, I’m inspired by travel, interior design, photography, and time with my family. I’ve visited 21 countries, and I love bringing the colors, textures, and experiences I encounter into my work and the spaces I create with my family.

 

I believe design is the quiet structure beneath everything. Found in nature and humanity, it weaves through technology, aesthetics, and practicality to guide how we live and experience the world.

On Leadership

Since stepping into the Creative Director role, Whitney has amplified the talent on our team and helped refine each designer’s skill set in a way that feels both intentional and empowering. Having worked under three Creative Directors here, I’ve seen a noticeable improvement in the team’s productivity, cohesion, and creative quality under her leadership.

She also fosters stronger cross-functional alignment by hosting monthly meetings with our creative-adjacent partners in App, Games, and Web, which has noticeably sped up collaboration and general awareness and camaraderie. Every project that reaches the final round has genuinely benefited from her touch. While that level of involvement is expected from someone in her role, the way she leads is what stands out: her approach is guiding, collaborative, and supportive, rather than top-down or directive.
